Umphrey's Confirms sUMmer school 2013

Today at Umphrey's McGee's inaugural sUMmer school event, the band confirmed that they would be hosting the event again next year. sUMmer school 2012 is currently taking place at the Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, New York, a retreat in the Catskills with an olympic-sized swimming pool, a library, multiple common areas, hiking trails, a cafe, and of course, a full bar.
The event is a social, educational, and inspirational experience for attendees who have full access to the band's creative process. Besides just observing, the students, whether musicians or just music lovers, are also encouraged to engage in the musical process with the band and participate in the many different workshops held throughout the week.
Open jam sessions with the band and Umphrey's performances are also included in the itinerary. Although the 5 days are centered mainly around music, the guests can choose from other different activities like swimming, disc golf, kickball, and hiking throughout the resort.
Umphrey's has already announced that they will be releasing audio and video of sUMmer school soon after it is over.
