STS9 Announces Three-Night NYE Run in Denver

STS9 is set to perform at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, CO in celebration of New Year’s Eve 2012. Their three-night run, titled “Time Within Evolving Living Vehicle Earth,” will occur December 29, 30 and 31. Though the band hosted a five-night gala at The Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA this past NYE, the prior two years were spent in Denver, so their return should be welcomed.

Fan club tickets will be available through STS9 Ticketing beginning Friday, September 21 at 10 a.m. MDT. Tickets will go on sale to the public via Ticketmaster on Friday, September 28, also at 10 a.m. MDT. VIP and travel packages will be offered through CID Entertainment.

Pink Floyd Tribute Band Featuring David Murphy of STS9 To Perform in Atlanta

Pigs On The Wing, a Pink Floyd tribute band co-founded by David Murphy of STS9, is heading down South to pay homage to the progressive rock legends on Wednesday, September 26. Murph, along with members of Collective Efforts and Maserati, will grace the stage at Terminal West in Atlanta, GA.

Having only played a handful of times in their history with the last performances at the Georgia Theatre in September 2011 and at Re:Generation 2011 in North Plains, OR last June, Pigs on the Wing is a unique take on the legendary progressive rockers. Previous incarnations of the group have included Murph's bandmate, David Phipps.

This should be a treat for fans of Floyd, STS9 or any of the other musicians involved. Tickets are just $15.00 and can be purchased online via Terminal West. (Ed note: Disregard the band bio and picture on the venue's website, we think they got them confused with a different cover band. - NR)

STS9 Takes The Great Cycle Spectacles To The Heart Of Dixie

sts9nashville.jpg

Coming on the heels of last week's exciting Fox Theater stand announcement in Atlanta, STS9 announced an additional Great Cycle Spectacles performance set to take place on Wednesday, October 24 in Nashville, TN at the Ryman Auditorium.

2012 has been a year of transition for both STS9 and STS9 fans alike with the introduction of the massive new light right and impeccably timed performances to coincide with lighting designer Saxton Waller's visual alchemy. It appears as if Tribe is on the way to finding a balance of incorporating old songs and the new production, as the past few shows have placated many long-time followers who were less than enthused about the band's lack of setlist variety and live versatility.

Expect a show of epic proportions as the boys gear up for their two-night stand in Atlanta for Halloween weekend. Tickets go on sale this coming Wednesday, August 8 via STS9's official webstore.

STS9 Hints At Return to House of Blues in Chicago

Early last week, STS9 was announced as one of the final major additions to this year's North Coast Music Festival, taking place over Labor Day weekend in Chicago, IL.

On Wednesday of this week, STS9's posted the photo below to their official Twitter account, pointing to a probable return to the House of Blues in Chicago with a North Coast late-night providing the perfect opportunity. STS9 plays the festival on Friday, August 31.

Last time the boys made an appearance at the HOB in the Windy City, they threw down a set that showcased material from their entire catalogue with "Hubble," "Water Song," "Luma Daylight" and "Breathe In" all popping up.

An official announcement has not yet been made, but you can guarantee when it is - we'll be on it.

STS9 Confirms "Axe the Cables" Show, "ReGENERATION" Documentary Screening, Red Rocks Opener

Yesterday's cleverly placed tweet from STS9's official Twitter account had Tribe fans buzzing about a possible "Axe the Cables" acoustic show, set for the day after their performance at Red Rocks. Today, the band confirmed via their official website that indeed the rumors were true.

On June 17 the lucky few who manage to secure tickets to this certain to be sold-out show will be treated to both a screening of the documentary Re:GENERATION, scored by STS9, and a special acoustic performance to kick the evening off. These special acoustic shows are a rare treat, having occurred only a handful of times, with each performance more unique than the last.

[READ Headstash's recap of last year's Re:Generation festival, including a particularly bliss-filled Axe the Cables show, featuring the debut of an acoustic "Circus," "ROYGBIV" and "Dance."]

Additionally, the boys announced that up-and-coming Elm & Oak records act Cherub, will be the opening act for their June 16 Red Rocks show, effectively putting an end to rumors of a three-set show that many had hoped for in light of Re:Generation Festival's recent cancellation

Tickets for the Boulder Theater screening and Axe the Cables show are available now for only $10.00 plus taxes and fees via The Boulder Theater's website. Passes to the Red Rocks show the evening before are available via the Ticketmaster website

If you can't make it out to Colorado in June, fear not, as STS9 previously announced another installment of Axe at the Sarasota Winery in Northern California.
