It's a sad day for Ween-ers everywhere. Aaron Freeman (better known as Gene Ween) has officially stated in Rolling Stone that he is finally retiring the band he co-founded back in high school, Ween.
According to Rolling Stone, Freeman says, “It’s time to move on."
The announcement may not come as a surprise to many considering the meltdown Freeman had last fall during a show in Vancouver. After the incident, he was said to have attended a rehab center in Arizona where he recorded a solo album, something this frontman plans to focus on during his life after Ween.
Although the world will truly miss the music of Ween with its genre-busting weirdness and enjoyable antics - we will most of all never forget the music they created.
