High Sierra Music Festival Adds Big Gigantic, Garage A Trois To 2012 Lineup

Today, High Sierra Music Festival released their second round of lineup names who are set share the stage with Ben Harper, STS9, Railroad Earth, Galactic, Greensky Bluegrass and more. Intermixing electronic acts such as Big Gigantic and Paper Diamond with the likes of punkalectic Garage A Trois and aggressive bluegrass trio, Split Lip Rayfield, Quincy, CA will be weaving the airwaves with multiple genres this July 5 to 8. This camping event creates an intimate environment of around 10,000 attendees, focusing on being family-friendly.  Accentuated with a “kids zone,” lively parade, family camping area and a vaudeville-style performance troupe – festivalgoers of all ages will find themselves entertained and satisfied.

Another highlight of High Sierra is the artist "Play Shops," which offer a unique and highly entertaining forum for fans to interact with some of their favorite musicians. Last year, members of Elephant Revival demonstrated vocal harmony styles while Toubab Krewe presented the 21-string African Kora, revealing how an ancient instrument translates into contemporary performances.

While this year’s Play Shops have not been announced just yet, periodically check back on the festival's official website for updates and schedule releases.
