The usual temperate weather in Grant Park during late summer will undoubtedly change its course when the Lollapalooza lineup heats up Chicago August 3 to 5 of this year.

The lineup broke late Tuesday night, with headliners that cater to contemporary and vintage tastes alike, bringing in some of the past decade's top bands and some of EDM's top electronic producers as well. Notable industry headliners will include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Sabbath, Jack White and The Black Keys. For the first time two electronic acts, Avicii, and French producer-duo Justice, will also headline the main stages.

Last year, Lollapalooza broke their attendance record of 270,000 people over the course of three days. With previous headliners of Eminem, Coldplay, Foo Fighters and more in 2011, it's clear why this festival is one of America’s staples year after year.

As has been the custom for the past few years, festival curator Perry Farrell (Jane's Addiction) will host his own dance music tent, headlined this yar by Bassnectar and Santigold with appearances by Skream and Benga, Kaskade, Little Dragon, Calvin Harris, Big Gigantic, Porter Robinson, Nadastrom, NERO, the White Panda, Knife Party, SALVA, Zeds Dead and Paper Diamond.

Check out the full festival lineup and ticketing prices on the festival's official website. Three day passes are on sale now for $230.00.

With the original lineup of Black Sabbath, an eclectic electronic escape at Perry’s Stage and the beautiful scenery of Grant Park, Lollapalooza 2012 will be a festival to remember for all who attend.
