It seems as though anybody going to the Newport Folk Festival will be starting to party a little early this year. The Festival has officially added an extra day on Friday, July 27, where the festivities will be kicked off with special guests Wilco, Blitzen Trapper and Megafaun.

These additions are only a few of the lively events occurring in Newport this year. The festival will be in Fort Adams State Park in Newport, Rhode Island, and will have some of the most popular jam and folk artists, as well as camping and a crafts fair.

The Newport Folk Festival will be taking place on July 27 to July 29, and tickets cost $81.00 per day. Tickets for the July 27 date will be on sale as of April 13.

For more information, check out the Newport Folk Festival official website. The complete lineup (so far) is below.
