SnowMont Music Festival Cancelled

Music. Mountains. Party ..... Fail. At least in 2012.
SnowMont Music Festival was set to debut March 30 to April 1 in Killington, Vermont. In the same family as SnowBall and SnowGlobe, SnowMont was created in hopes of replicating the colossal success of Colorado's SnowBall, but on the East Coast. Unfortunately, the festival has been cancelled due to lagging ticket sales.
SnowMont certainly seemed poised to follow in the footsteps of its western sister festivals, boasting an impressive lineup featuring Kaskade, Snoop Dogg, The Flaming Lips, Lotus, Big Boi, Diplo and Railroad Earth among others.
It is a sad day and a definite head scratcher for the skiiers and boarders of the Northeast who were preparing for this festival at the end of the month. Check their Facebook page for the official announcement.

Fortunately, LIFT Festival in Whaleback Mountain, New Hampshire is still fueled and ready to debut this weekend. With beautiful weather set for New England this St. Patty's Day weekend, East Coasters are raring to go experience this awesome combination of music and mountains.
Weekend passes are still available via the festival website for $100.00, and with acts like Ghostland Observatory, Conspirator, Lettuce, Break Science and a slew of up and coming supporting acts, LIFT could be your last minute alternative to SnowMont.
