Colorado’s sixth annual Sonic Bloom has just announced their much anticipated daily schedule.
This four-day boutique festival taking place in the majestic woods of Shadows Ranch in Georgetown, CO features top acts such as Tipper, Emancipator and OTT. From June 21 to 24, two stages and the “Buddha Lounge” will showcase some of the best musicians on the electronic circuit.
Sonic Bloom has some fantastic early morning experiences planned throughout the weekend with Random Rab performing one of his storied sunrise sets at 5:50 a.m. on Saturday morning in the Rocky Mountain Hydroponics Dome and other performances from Akara, Rab, Bird of Prey, Of Porcelain - the downtempo project of Ooah from the Glitch Mob - and Kaminanda.
Thursday begins with a preliminary opening ceremony at 7:30 p.m. for those that have chosen to purchase the additional “early-Bloomer” pass. Colorado-based bands, Dynohunter and The Malah will perform on the Bloom Stage Thursday night while the much talked about Silent Frisco ft. MOPO, Mancub, Matt Haze, and the Sonic Bloom Allstars will be rockin’ the FM-transmitted airwaves until the wee-hours of each morning. Bonobo is set to headline.
Friday's official opening ceremony kicks off at 2:22 p.m. on the Bloom Stage which boasts performances by the Acidophiles, Karsh Kale and Janover, Papadosio, PANTyRAID and more.
The Rocky Mountain Hydroponics Dome has Sonic Bloom veteran, Dayquill, on at 5:30 p.m., industry granddaddy, Mikey Thunder with Fisk, at 9:00 p.m., West Coast psy-step producer Phutureprimitive at 11:00 p.m. and dubstep magician, Jantsen taking the stage at 2:00 a.m.
Saturday kicks off with the trio, Robotic Pirate Monkey at 4:30 p.m. on the Bloom Stage with The Fungineers following. Emancipator’s dynamic beats and layered violin will entertain the audience at 10:30 p.m., a stunning performance that we highly recommend, followed by the first of two sets from festival headliner Tipper. Catch Pretty Lights Music artists Paul Basic and Michal Menert from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. in the Dome.
The last day always proves to be the most trying for festivalgoers, but Sonic Bloom did a great job at saving some of the best acts for last. Sunsquabi, Tipper and The Sonic Bloom Orchestra will keep the energy flowing all day on the Bloom Stage while Sugarpill, Govinda, Supervision and Crushendo will rage it in the Dome from afternoon ‘til dawn.
Sonic Bloom isn’t just all about the music - there is so much more from workshops, to dance lessons, to yoga. Be sure to check out the full schedule and offerings on their official website.
Three day passes are still available at $150.00, but not for long! Be sure to snag one before they bump up to $175.00, then $200.00 at the gates. If you are interested in Thursday arrival, it’s an additional $35.00 in advance or $45.00 at the gate. You can purchase tickets here.
