The inaugural Catalpa Festival, taking place on July 28 and 29 at Randalls Island in New York City, has released their daily lineup. The Black Keys will headline Saturday July 28 with backing from Umphrey's McGee and TV on the Radio.
Sunday will have Snoop Dogg at the top of the bill along with Girl Talk, Matisyahu, and The Polish Ambassador. Check the full daily lineup below.
According to the festival's website Catalpa will feature "As much an emphasis on site artistry, interactive experiences and experimentation as the musical entertainment itself . . . " and will, ". . . transform people out of their ordinary setting and into an environment more fantastic."
What this means is that not only will Catalpa feature above average art installations as well as a farmers market and silent disco, they will also have something completely different.
Frisky's Church of Sham Marriages will be on site to accommodate any marriage proposals - sham or legitimate - on site with the help of Catalpa's full-time "pimp pastor." That's right folks, you can propose, plan a wedding or even renew your vows here if you feel so inclined.
Catalpa will run 1:00 p.m. through 11:00 p.m. on both days. Weekend passes are on sale now through the festival's website for $139.00.
