Idaho's MASSV Festival Taps Ghostland Observatory, Beats Antique For Huge Event

Scenic Sun Valley, Idaho is hosting one of the biggest two-day music festivals to ever grace the state, popping off July 13 to 14, 2012, at the foot of Bald Mountain in Ketchum, ID. This fest isn’t going to be big – it’s gonna be MASSV.

Featuring a variety of performances including Beats Antique, Brother Ali, BoomBox and Ghostland Observatory, MASSV Music and Arts Showcase will be an event for all ages and all live music lovers.

The weekend promises art cars, drummers, DJs, breakdancers and an assortment of entertainers and performances that will “keep the senses alive,” in downtown Ketchum until 2:00 a.m.

MASSV is another example of some of the grassroots festivals that have been popping up throughout the Pacific Northwest. Although drawing inspiration from Mardi Gras and the cultural likes of Bonnaroo, the fest illuminates the passion and capability among a small group of artists, musicians and enthusiasts with a strong will to live, breathe and spread what they love.

MASSV is being held in memory of Zack and CJ Peterson, owners of Dark Psyence promotions, who lost their lives earlier this year. It was the couples' dream to bring inspirational art and music to the state of Idaho, and now it’s the goal of their families and the producers of MASSV to transform that dream into a reality.

With the event only a month away, tickets for MASSV are now on-sale on the festival’s website. Single-day early-bird passes are available for $39.99. Full weekend passes are available for $59.99. Weekend camping passes are being sold separately for $20.00.

The campground is located two miles from the venue with a bike path directly to and from. There will be a bike corral at the festival. Shuttle services will be provided to and from the campgrounds, however camping space is limited. For more information, check out MASSV's website.
