A note from the photographer:
There’s no better way to spend a Saturday than with family, friends and incredible music. For 20 years now, Hot August Blues has been giving its fans just that.
Growing from a small gathering at one man's house to now taking over a huge, luxurious piece of Organ Ridge Park in Cockeysville, Maryland, the 2012 version of the event featured acts like Gov’t Mule, the Cris Jacobs Band and Trombone Shorty.
More than 6,000 people showed up to relax and rage with full food, alcohol and craft vendors set up throughout the field.
Cris Jacobs Band came out around noon with their classic brand of roots and rock helping to wake up the crowd and get people moving early in the day.
HAB is definitely known for drawing a large family contingency and older heads. It’s a tamer event with plenty of space to sit down, lie out and focus solely on the music. It’s a beautiful melting pot of an event.
